Well… no more tube taped on her face because Mimi is home!!
Thank you everyone who was thinking of and praying for little Nohemi during her surgery to place her g-tube nearly 2 weeks back. She stayed in the hospital an extra night just to be safe. Mimi has many neurological ups and downs. She came through surgery, and had plenty of one on one cuddles the entire stay!
Now, nearly 2 weeks after surgery she has improved so much! She used to vomit many of her feedings, and she has stopped. She also sleeps well and peacefully. She does not cry so much as before.
Nohemi continues to be the sweet princess of the family and receives many hugs. Everyone is excited to finally see her little face unobstructed by a tube!!
Mimi care home from the hospital on her first birthday, which was celebrated a few days later. Karen, shown holding Mimi, was excited to have found her birthday outfit, and pull her hair back.
It is a true blessing to be surrounded by so many family, staff, and volunteers who love the kids who are called broken by so much of the world. Mimi teaches us love daily, and in profound ways. She is a gift, and very precious.
