Have you ever had that moment when you were really enjoying something, and it made you picture a time when this same thing struck even deeper?

Like have you had that lovely cup of coffee, and been brought to the moment after a cold rainy night outside working on something when that cup of coffee seemed like it was poured by the angles themselves?
Or have you had a refreshing shower- how it felt that time after working with insulation in a hot, dirty attic and that cool water flushed away all the irritants from your arms?
Maybe walking through the grass barefoot and remembering the first barefoot walk of the spring?
It’s the same simple things we all love at any time, but in their moment, they are simply perfect!
A few weeks ago I got to see that!
I got to see a waking dream.
In February, the great move of 2025 reached the children’s homes. I wasn’t able to make it for these, but watched from a distance as kids arrived.
The kids looked so happy.
The pictures looked unreal.
It felt imagined until I got to go see earlier this month.
After praying for this land for so long, it was just as unreal in person as it had seemed in the photos to see community of hope, alive and hopping with kids and activity.
If felt like wandering into a waking dream.

Here is what I saw.
I saw Esther.
A beach bum at heart whose autism drives her to seek lonely places in the sun surrounded by grass and plants.
Do you think you like to walk barefoot in the grass?
Esther has you beat.
She was living her best life unencumbered in the grass.

I saw Alison running back and forth playing with Brayan- her brother who aged out and had to move to the adult home.
They haven’t played together like this in years.
Now they can’t stop!
I saw Agosto.
He was begging to go see the Pony, and was thrilled when we went out.
Then, he got to RIDE!
I saw Agosto ride the pony and he could hardly breathe he was laughing so hard!
Later I saw Checha come up in his mechanical chair to where Agosto was eating. Agosto wanted to talk and talk and Checha got to be the big brother.

Checha got to model how he can eat on his own, and be an example for his younger brother.

I also saw Checha’s room- the space divided off just for him where he can keep his own things. He showed off his drawing as sunlight came through the window by his desk.
I saw a beautiful little med-room— and yes, I was over the moon on behalf of our nurses who so desperately needed that dedicated, private, securable space!
I saw the huge kitchen with enough space for all.
I saw the cart to bring meals and tube feeds so that nobody would have to run for what might be missing.
I saw wide open space and green everywhere!
I saw the groundwork- the Fulp home currently being built on this land so that what is so good now will be even better shortly!

I saw kids thriving in their new space. And this is before the homes are even fully built!
They are living in the dream I’ve held for years.
It was a beautiful thing.
And all I can think is how perfect it will be when the accessible homes are finished and the ministry center meets its full purpose.
It is already so dream-like. How will it be then?

Like that sip of coffee on that especially cold morning- what is already so lovely will be all the more perfect.
God has been so faithful to have brought so many so far.

It is so exciting to see how God will continue to bless! What a privilege our little family had to be the first group after COVID to come and do our small part for that home for so many. I love seeing the updates!!
