On the ground:

The past few months have brought many new roles and transitions for our little family! God moved powerfully for our ministry partners and friends, opening every door for them to quickly relocate to establish a clinic in a new region. The move happened faster than anyone hoped! —praise God!
This shift has placed us fully in the day-to-day running of the rural Quiché clinic. Even amidst reorganization and adjustment, we saw a record number of new patients last Thursday. What a joy to watch God at work.

Another milestone for us: Daniel is learning to drive! With help from a very experienced friend, he’s now driving both manual and automatic—meaning he’s taking the wheel while I happily ride along as a first-time passenger princess.
This is especially helpful on our four-hour trips to the central area, as well as village visits. Here, even “casual driving” requires intense focus.

We are finding that there are many blessings to serving together. Aside from our ministry work, we also serve together in children’s church a few times each month.
This setting stretches me—it’s loud, energetic, and often chaotic, and understanding six little Spanish voices at once is no small task!
I’m thankful to serve alongside Daniel, who is a natural teacher with an easy authority and joyful leadership. My strengths tend toward kids with special needs- give me the feeding tubes and oxygen, while Daniel is natural with a class of kids.
So together we make a good team.

With great joy, we’re thrilled to share that we’re expecting our first baby later this year!

While pregnancy has included its fair share of little challenges, nothing outweighs the excitement of watching God form new life and taking this next step together.
This will be the first grandbaby for Daniel’s side of the family. His entire family, and our entire church are excited and share all the thoughts–
“It will be a boy because girls start moving by week 4″;
“It has to be a girl with all that nausea”,
“you shouldn’t walk in the rain”,
“you should sit, we will serve the meal”,
“eat this”,
“don’t lift that”,
ect.!!!
Aaaaand about everyone touches my stomach without hesitation. Through it all, we are truly thriving in this big season of changes.

Prayer requests
–Pray for this new little life, and our cultural blending. Daniel breaks norms here by helping me so much more then man typical do, and I learn to be accept advice or actions my culture calls invasive.
— Join us in thanking God for His incredible provision is covering ALL initial clinic costs!
–Even as we ask for God’s continued provision to meet monthly needs. Your prayers and financial support make this ministry possible. God is using you as an active part of this work, and we are deeply grateful.
